Deliquescence, My Baby

O! There breaks the wine dark sea

Splash hard now

Smooth, shiny pink tile

Deliquescence, my baby

Gritty blood

Birthing hourglass sand

Sticks, sticky, stuck

Pushing hard into the skin under my fingernails

Splits in greasy plastic

I didn't see, and you were blind

Nobody is there, he put out our eye!

How many coins are in your wallet?

Little eyes, nails, strewn in the bowl

Dirty feet, you lotus eater

Toes on the soft carpet

Gravel in my abdomen

Cradle me here, on

Ceramic linoleum

Fluorescent, grabby pain

Weaving, unweaving, and weaving again

Gone, back in the corn maze

With that dirty fucking animal

Drippy blood, like candle wax

O! Hubris again!

Those ladies said we would,

So we forgot the prophecy

You never show the right colors

I pitch myself from the cliff
